Risk & Uncertainty


  1. Choose one activity of your life that poses some health risk, positive or negative. Name the activity, and the resulting impact of concern. Draw a concept map of the factors that influence that activity and the impacts of that activity. Indicate the importance of each of the factors in any manner you wish (number weights, shading in concept map--be creative!).

  2. Draw a block diagram to show the details of exposure, effects, and management of the "risk" that the above activity poses. In each step, indicate the data and the background information you would need to make decisions on how to manage the risk.
